Oliver and CO. Perfumes: Illustrated Illuminati Fragrances
Written by Wes Viana Ferreiro. The first time I got familiar with Oliver & Co. perfumes was through his wonderful Instagram page. The page is a mix between pack shots and lovely illustrations of his perfumes’ ingredients. The page has an established feel to it, which is surprising since the label has only been founded in 2009. The Fragrance Foundation has praised the independent perfume maker for his Ambergreen fragrance in the Duftsars 2017 awards for Best Artistic Independent Perfume.
Ambergreen is best described as an explosion of ultra fresh and crispy notes emerging from amber. It has a autumny feel to it – but it’s great to wear in summer too. Think basil, coriander, grass and green pepper.
The self-made founder Oliver Valverde searches for combinations between the new and unknown, as long as it’s inspiring. Not afraid to break rules he is considered to be a breath of fresh air among the modern artisan perfumery world. His Illustrated Series combines graphic and olfactory proposals resembling the synthetic content of the series.
Illustrated Series, €120.00 / 50ml. Available online and at selected stores.
