Milan SS17 Beauty Highlights: Eye of the Beholder
Fendi aside, Ports 1961, MaxMara and Versace provided some of our favorite looks from the week. Graphic eye paint dominated - from Ports 1961's blue washed peepers to MaxMara's more martial take - thick side stripes in all the colors of the rainbow. Versace, conversely, opted for a light eye - a simple shimmering highlight on the inner corner. Written by Sophie Coleman.
Ports 1961 - Stripes
Keeping it pure and simple - cobalt blue and yellow washed eyes matched Port's colorful striped palette of minimally tailored shirt dresses and boxy separates.
MaxMara - Urban warrior
Graphic stripes splashed on the sides of eyes highlighted the architectural and jungle influences of Maxmara's latest collection, inspired by Italian-Brazilian architect Bo Bardi - with vibrant tropical prints, clean silhouettes and the new Bo Bag.
Versace - Mod shine
Sportswear infused with a mod, yet futuristic take - via swinging 60s prints and colors; followed by chic dresses featuring Versace's signature hardware - metallic pins and crystal chain mail piecing together sexy splits and technical material. With so much vibrancy, a fresh beauty look was the perfect complement - a subtle shimmer highlight on inner eye corners and barely-there nude pink lip.
