For this series, visual artist/photographer Rik Versteegh was inspired by an old ballet piece called The Triadisches Ballet by Oskar Schlemmer. Rik made the costumes, masks and set design, and asked Ahmad Joudeh to model for this shoot.

Ahmad Joudeh is a Syrian ballet dancer and choreographer who dances with the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam and is active as an international dancer. He also does a lot of volunteer work for worldwide refugee programs. You might have seen him in his documentary Dance or Die. www.ahmadjoudeh.com
