“My mother’s blackberry jam: an iconic token from my youth. Unfortunately when my mother moved house, the blackberry bush got left behind in our old garden. It was the end of an era. No more blackberry jam, just the few pots left that preserved my childhood memories. In search of a feeling of longing for home, I explore my childhood memories, in which I encounter many fictional characters. They represent the roles I envision in a perfect young amily. It’s glamorous, colourful and so fucking happy. Although, I suppose it is.”

Berry In Berry Megan van Engelen explores romanticized childhood memories through several fashion pieces and a blackberry bush that relate to a broken family. Megan shows Berry to the general public for the first time during the international Fashion Festival ‘FASHIONCLASH’ as part of ’The CLASH House’. We aim to go for a printed publication with the photo series of Berry.
