S O U N D & V I S I O N

Photographer Mathilde Karrèr aka Odessa and Otto Kraanen aka De Dupe met years ago in the party scene, both organising parties and playing Italo Disco, House and Disco. The Amsterdam based Record label Bordello A Parigi and Mathilde have been collaborating throughout the years in which they share the love of eighties Italian Disco, Giallo (the particular style of Italian-produced murder mystery horror-thriller film with elements of horror fiction and erotism) aesthetics and sultry glimpses of bygone days. This has resulted in many images celebrating all of the above which found their way to record sleeves and live on.

The Bordello Sound System and Label are still going strong, with parties all over Europe dishing out amazing music operating from the tiny store at the Oudezijds Kolk and their dedicated bar around the corner on the Zeedijk Bordello Aperitivo. As is Mathilde, shooting for international renowned brands and magazines.
